Sri Jahnavi Adusumilli

Sri Jahnavi Adusumilli is a healthcare professional bridging the worlds of pharmacy and health informatics. With a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy in India, she established a strong foundation for pharmaceutical care principles. Currently, she is expanding her expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Informatics at Indiana University, driven by her fascination with the transformative potential of data and technology in healthcare.

Sri Jahnavi developed a keen interest in data analysis during her PharmD program, mainly through her Biostatistics and Research Methodology coursework. Her leadership role in a project examining COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and safety highlighted the critical importance of data management in public health, further fueling her passion for data-driven healthcare solutions.

At the Purkayastha Lab for Health Innovation (PLHI), Sri Jahnavi is engaged in cutting-edge research at the intersection of neuroscience and dermatology. She is working on innovative projects using EEG/EMG technologies to identify cognitive load in dermatologists and to develop human-machine interfaces that can enhance AI models in healthcare. Additionally, her work extends to data analysis for public health interventions and the application of machine learning to health policy decisions.

Sri Jahnavi’s research interests encompass a broad spectrum of health informatics, including Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), Machine Learning, Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, and Data Analytics. Her aspiration to become a Health Care Data Analyst reflects her commitment to leveraging advanced technologies for meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery.

With her unique blend of pharmaceutical knowledge and growing expertise in health informatics, Sri Jahnavi aims to harness the full potential of health data to enhance patient care and contribute to advancing healthcare practices. Her ultimate goal is to significantly impact individual and community health outcomes through innovative solutions and data-driven insights.
