Robert is pursuing a Ph.D. student in Applied Data Science at the Luddy School at IU Indianapolis. He is the Associate Director of the Cyberinfrastructure Integration Research Center, which is part of the Pervasive Technology Institute. He has been working in some capacity with RDA since 2014 and his roles include the Co-Chair of the Technical Advisory Board, member of the Organizational Assembly, and co-chair of two exciting RDA Interest Groups the CODATA/RDA Schools for Research Data Science Interest Group and the Data Fabric Interest Group.
At the Purkayastha lab, Robert is working on validating and building infrastructure that can support the reuse of machine learning and AI algorithms through containers and metadata standards and combining his expertise in the Research Data Alliance communities.
He has worked on various research cyberinfrastructure projects for nearly 20 years, including the Open Science Grid and eXtreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment.
