ECEB Application by PLHI Students in the top 3 in the AMIA ’19 Student Design Challenge.

Students Anushri Rajapuri, Radhika Ravindran and Kevin Horan has been chosen into the final stage of the AMIA Student Design Challenge for their noteworthy contribution of a Clinical Decision Support Tool complying with the ECEB Guidelines.  The nuances of monitoring, tracking, and providing essential care to a large number of mother-baby pairs simultaneously, have a significant cognitive  load  on  nurses,  who  must  perform  varied  tasks  every  few minutes on each baby. The CDST designed by the students helps solve this issue od cognitive overload on health workers thus helping them to recognize the symptom rather than recall the effect.
