Alekhya Jilla is a dental graduate currently pursuing her Master’s in Health Informatics at Indiana University. With a strong foundation in clinical practice and a growing passion for technology, she is focused on bridging the gap between hands-on patient care and data-driven healthcare solutions.
Her research interests center on developing and integrating clinical decision support systems (CDSS) that assist healthcare providers in making comprehensive and informed decisions, particularly by ensuring all relevant differential diagnoses are considered. She is also deeply interested in improving electronic medical record (EMR) systems, making them more intuitive and interoperable across care settings. Standardizing healthcare data through tools like FHIR APIs and terminology servers such as SNOMED CT and LOINC is another area she is passionate about, as it plays a vital role in ensuring seamless, accurate, and scalable data exchange across systems.
